Mentorships and career development programs at WSU  

WSU offers academic and professional mentoring options. This allows you to get the advice you need to succeed at WSU and in the workforce from the people you know best: your peers, your professors and industry leaders.  

Boeing Mentorship Program  

WSU engineering students are paired with a mentor from Boeing. The mentor will teach you the ins and outs of the aerospace industry. They’ll also provide information about opportunities at Boeing and general career advice.   

Carson College Mentorship Program   

This program is designed to connect students with mentors to help students develop their professional skills. This program should increase your chances of landing a job or internship following the end of the mentorship.    

Accommodation

Several housing options are available, including shared rooms and individual rooms. All enrolled WSU students may request to live in university housing regardless of the program.

Services and facilities

Transportation 

WSU students use Pullman’s excellent public transit system free of charge. The transit buses are free when you show your Cougar Card, allowing you to travel to nearby destinations on and off campus.  

Other transportation services include WSU’s rent-a-ride, bike sharing and nighttime safe ride programs. 

Language Learning Resource Center (LLRC) 

At the LLRC, international students can get help with English speaking, listening, writing, reading, pronunciation, grammar and university coursework. The LLRC also offers workshops on career preparedness and assists with ITA exam preparation.  

You’ll have access to computers, desk spaces, a library and other resources.  

The Peer Mentor Program 

The Peer Mentor Program assists international students in their personal, academic, social and cultural adjustment to studying and living in the United States and at WSU. Visit WSU's Peer Mentors page for more information.
